Abstract

This article gives the results of analysis and summarizing of literature sources about the questions of usage of high-angle conveyors on open pits, mines and pits. There is defined the area of efficient application of variably designed high-angle conveyors. There are also shown the possibilities of installation of these conveyors in vertical mine shafts and on concentration plants. Peculiarities of design of high-angle conveyors are described. Methodology of calculation of parameters of these conveyors for bulk cargo is offered together with design of vertical conveyor, including locomotive unit, consisting of two metal cord belts, connected by crossites. Conveyor belt is situated on the crossites and creates the vessels, due to sagging between these crossites. Such design makes possible to transport the large lumps, comparable with the belt width. There are developed the recommendations on calculation of vertical conveyor parameters, design principles and requirement to the whole conveyor and its separate elements.
