Abstract

The article reveals the role of the designer – technologist in creation of the conditions of safe operation at the designed industrial facilities. It provides a set of knowledge which should own the designer–technologist in the creation of new and reconstruction of existing production. The technique of professional training of designers-engineers possessed the knowledge of production safety in the learning phase and (what is more) the work experience of the Institute of New Materials and Technologies of Ural State Federal University named after B.N. Eltsyn is taken into account. Solving of safety problems during development of the new industrial objects or during reconstruction of the existing ones is a priority task and should be taken into account in construction documents at all stages of designing of this project by designers-technologists. Examination of the main principles and requirements in the field of industrial and fire protection safety, electric safety and labour protection is included in the learning course “Designing technology at industrial enterprises”. Mastering of the obtained information will help to reduce the time of adaptation of a university graduate to the real operating conditions of designers-engineers after finishing their education. It should be mentioned that the learning course uses the advanced information technologies.
