Abstract

The article describes the model of sustainable development in the mineral mining industry based on the systemic approach and modern geoinformation technologies. The model takes into account all levels and functions of subsoil management, all stages of geological exploration as well as all characteristics of the natural environment, infrastructure and socio-economics in the area of location of a mine in operation or under planning. The model includes geological objects, mineral objects, mining industry objects and raw material supply points. The basic modeling parameters are set as a type of study (stage of work), geological and production type, volume of mineral reserves, content of useful component (components) per categories А+В+С1, С2, undiscovered potential resources per categories Р1, Р2, Р3, average cutoff grade, exploration (appraisal) cost. The economic-geological monitoring system developed in the framework of this research is widely applied in the Central Federal District of Russia for the purpose of planning economic-geological monitoring actions and investment by the acting and to-be subsoil users: Territorial Fund of Geological Information in the Central Federal District (Moscow); Department of Subsoil Use in the Central Federal District (Moscow); Government of the Bryansk Region; Department of Natural Resources and Ecology in the Bryansk Region; mining companies and potential investors in the Central Federal District (Geoinfotsentr, Bryanskpromburvod, Geolnerudproject, Bryansktsentrovod, etc.) and Polyus Aldan in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Therethrough the system has proved its effi ciency in both fundamental and applied problems.
