Abstract

Possibility of using electrochemical technology for the preparation of waters and cationic reagents collectors to improve the technological parameters of flotation rough magnetite concentrates isolated from unoxidized ferruginous quartzites by wet magnetic separation has been experimentally established. Electrochemical conditioning of waters and reagent allows to reduce losses of iron with dump tails of flotation and to increase quality of a ferriferous product that gives the possibility to unite it with a rough magnetite concentrate of magnetic separation and to return it to processing via the closed scheme. When using of the electrochemically conditioned technical waters in the process of control return flotation, the iron content in the magnetite product is increased by 1.8% with a recovery of 66.2% and a yield of 55.7%. The critical concentration of micelle formation (CCM) of primary amine solution and its collecting ability are significantly increased by electrochemical conditioning, which leads to decrease of iron content in the froth product of flotation by 1.7%, to increase of iron content in ironcontaining chamber product by 0.9% and to decrease of silicon oxide content in it from 10.8 to 9.2%.
