Abstract

Accuracy and reliability of the measuring method were confirmed in the framework of comparative measurement conducted in the laboratory. The results were characterized by high reproducibility and permanent accuracy due to automatic procedure of specimen preparation to dissolution. It is shown that large measuring series can be conducted during only 24 hours. Ion chromatographic analysis of pyrolysis products can be considered as a very reliable and efficient method for qualification of secondary materials that are ecologically important. Pyrolitic and hydrolytic preparation allows to remove hindering matrix components, to dissolve fluorine components and to deliver them in the analytical node and to register reliably their amount. It is concluded that proper slag processing is rather necessary for safe usage of material resources. Precise chemicalanalytical analysis of general balance of fluorine in slag composition uses ion chromatographic analysis of pyrolysis products, taking into account ultimate allowable values. It helps to provide ecological safety and utilization potential of steelmaking slags.
