Experience of the developed countries shows that dynamic introduction of digital technologies cardinally transforms the mineral mining industry. Digital simulation of a mineral deposit surface is a component of the multifunctional digital platforms in digital transformation of the mining industry. Mining practice in Kazakhstan changes over to the digital technologies in control over mining processes. In terms of the Orlov deposit of Vostoktsvetmet, the operations involved in the digital simulation of the deposit surface are described. The process of the digital simulation of the Orlov deposit surface is discussed. This process is based on the high-precision leveling survey results. The method is advantageous for high accuracy and applicability of the results for verification of the data of the other geodetic techniques such as space radar interferometry, photographic surveying using air drones etc, being in a certain sense a reference for them. The weakened ground areas above the deposit are revealed by the digital simulation using geoinformation software products such as ArcGIS. The monitoring of rainfalls and ground deformation can use CREDO program. Alongside with these products, it seems expedient to employ software support GENCOM. A digital simulation of the ground surface makes it possible to predict and trace deformations of land in the area of mining.
