Abstract
Continuous annealing has become a challenging task. An up-to-date mathematical model, coupled with an advanced transition management and designed to synchronously control the furnace as well as the line speed, is the key to respond to the variability of the current production and the constraints of specialized products. Operation transparency takes advantages of the process reaction forecast on the current and coming strips, in order to generate the optimal routes for driving the transitions.
