Abstract

The paper presents the results of operation of pilot batch of iron rolls manufactured via the method of centrifugal casting in dual-layer technique. Surface of roll barrel is cast of iron with high content of ledeburite alloyed with nickel, with fine laminar graphite and tempered beinite-martensite matrix, while core is made from spheroidized graphite. Wear resistance of iron rolls is higher compared with dteel rolls by 1.5 times.
