Abstract

In this article is considered the variant of analytic parameters optimization method on the sides by minimum stripping volume criteria with the set depth of pit mining. The computational algorithm includes the sides’ stability checking. This checking depends on the drilling depth. Also, this algorithm includes the dependence of the correction to the sides` angle from the drilling depth during the solving of volumetric problem.

This problem is solved separately for the individual sites (sections) of the sides`. The optimization task on the section is to determine the geometric side profile parameters. Determination is held by the criteria of the minimum stripping volume with the recovery of their restrictions and the stability margin factor. This factor is defined as the minimal of all possible ones with variation of plane of shift.

The problem solution is made by the numerical method. Interdependence of the side parameters and the correction of the side angle on the curvature are the problem`s peculiarities. The problem`s peculiarities stipulate the solution algorithm.

In case of limiting optimal side parameters inconsistency on the sections` boundaries, the correction is made by geometric rectifying after the parameters’ determination.

The designed method was checked on the “Nyurbinsky” open pit in Yakutia. Modeling results have shown, that:

1) in comparison with the designed ones, the optimal profiles of the open pits` sides have the significant stripping reduction reserves;

2) in comparison with the standard ramps, the utilization of the steeply inclined ramps enables to reduce the stripping volumes to 38,6%.
