Abstract

Permafrost damp rocks have very unstable thermal conditions. They are rather sensitive to the external influences. Physical and mechanical properties of the permafrost damp rocks considerably change even at small temperature fluctuations. The analysis of permafrost rocks` properties and long-term experience of well-drilling allows to specify the basic directions of development technologies of drilling operations on diamond open-cast mines: creation of special executive powers for drilling operations; stabilisation of a thermal conditions; choice of type and parameters of the drilling tool, appropriateness to the properties of the drilled rocks. Improvement of the operating members of rock-drilling machines includes the complex of scientific and technical developments: methods of calculation and parameters` choice of a drill fines` pneumatic transportation system of from a boreholes; increasing methods of cutting-reller bits` firmness; principles of a choice and calculation of drilling bits` parameters; designs of cutting bits with a blow of boreholes by the compressed air; designs of combined cutting and cutting-reller bits; a parametrical range of the cutting and combined bits; devices for normalisation of a temperature rate of bits` drilling; an engineering technique of bits` drilling on diamond ore open pits of Yakutia.
