The dresser – magnetic hydroseparator (MHS) is invented for the extraction of hematite along with the magnetite from the iron ore. This magnetic hydroseparator is patented in Russia and USA. In the MHS at the same time run the processes of classification, separation and cuttings removal. Their results depend on the gravitational forces, upstream intensity, magnetizing force of the circular magnetic system and rotary speed of the scraper device. It has an opportunity to atomize the separation process by measuring the iron content in the flow or the silica content in the concentrate and overflow. Further follows the giving of the control signal on the electric drive of the scrapper device and purger. Another advantage of the MHS is its ability of effectively removing the quartz particles of various fineness, notably – without the risk of its regrinding, that is very important to the effective operating of the concentrate pelletizing.
