Abstract

Tunnels play special role in surface transportation infrastructure, inner and international connections. Exploitation of tunnels is associated with the problem of safety and requirements of qualitative ventilation. In the absence of air movement in a tunnel, its quality became worse due to the humidity increasing and ingress of gases from the surrounding soils. These gases penetrate through the walls of the tunnel. During the tunnel exploitation (especially road tunnel), there takes place the air pollution by the fuel combustion products. At the same time the temperature rises in the tunnel. The axial flow fan is proposed for the tunnel ventelation. The advantage of this ventilation is a good possibility of equipping the fan by the automated productivity efficient control system. This system allows to ventelate the railway and highway more efficiently. Regulation of the air deliverly into the tunnel happens through the module with the thermal hydraulic drive with the rotator motion. This module performs the turning of the axial flow tunnel fan`s impeller blades. The fluid`s expansion properties are found in the thermal hydraulic drive operation.
