Here are set out the research results into the occupational safety of the working process at the JSC “Apatit “ carried out on the basis of comprehensive analysis of the indices of time series of the occupational accidents for 20 years period (1991-2010) of the largest mining enterprise activity in Murmansk region. The application of methods of mathematical-statistical analysis makes it possible to single out two main components of time series distribution of number of accidents at the JSC “Apatit”- trend and variation. The analytical type of the trend got in the form of exponential function is the most approximate to the generally accepted rule of rare events or the Pousson distribution, and the departure of number of accidents at the JSC “Apatit” from the trend is presented in the form of variation as a smoothed harmonic function. The model of occupational accidents is a specific tool for the monitoring and administration of the level of the occupational safety at the mining enterprise. It helps us to make the complex of necessary preventive arrangements of various types (technological, health-improving, socio-economic and others) preemptive. These arrangements are supposed to be oriented to maintenance of the acceptable level of the occupational safety. The prepared research version using both qualitative and quantitative forms of analysis of the occupational accidents with application of statistical indicators makes it possible to appraise more efficiently the state value of the work safety directly by means of the enterprises of the mining complex.
