Museums - Special issue

Polytechnic Museum, one of the largest and oldest scientific-technical museums worldwide, has celebrated in December 2007 its 135th anniversary. The special issue of the journals incorporated in "Ore and Metals" publishing house is devoted to this date.

During all its history, Polytechnic Museum with its collections, famous library and lecture hall has helped many thousands of engineers and scientists to choose their living way, making thereby an enormous input in development and strengthening of national industry. It is expedient that metallurgy and mining matter have been presented in the exposition of Polytechnic Museum since its establishment. The museum has accumulated extremely interesting archive materials, opening the pages of activity of outstanding mining and metallurgical engineers, the history of development of mining-metallurgical equipment and technology.
