This issue includes the articles, which describe the subject-matter on heavy and light non-ferrous metals, rare metals and composite materials. This issue shares the problems of theory and practice of ore concentration, production and processing of non-ferrous metals, complex usage of crude ore, economics and management of enterprise and industrial automation.
The section «Economics and Management of Production» includes the article by I. A. Altushkin, Yu. A. Korol and A. E. Cherepovitsyn, which tells about the methodological approaches to economic evaluation of sustainable development of mining and metallurgical holding.
The article «Zirconium: resources, markets, prospects» characterizes the variety of natural and artificial minerals, ores and compounds of zirconium, their basic peculiarities and consumer properties. There is given the review of modern status, problems, current and prospect tendencies of development of raw materials base, production and basic areas of zirconium consumption both in Russian Federation and in the whole world. There is carried out the detail analysis of dynamics of average annual prices on zirconium-containing products in Russia and in the world markets for the last decade.
The «Benefifiation» section includes the article by L. N. Krylova, K. A. Vigandt, L. E. Sarukhanova, E. V. Adamov and Zheng Zhi Hong, which describes the advantages and disadvantages of technologies of vat biooxidation of sulphide concentrates, concerning the alternative hydrometallurgical technologies of autoclave leaching, with atmospheric pressure with application of various reagents.
The «Metal Processing» section includes the article by N. A. Belov, A. N. Alabin, R. A. Biktagirov, I. A. Matveeva and A. G. Tsydenov, which describes the research of influence of 0.3-0.4% of Zr additive on the density of cold-rolled sheets of aluminium jar alloys (AA3104 type), annealed with the temperatures of up to 450ºC, inclusively. There is shown that addition of Zr in the materials of 3xxx grade is prospective, because it makes possible to increase the density of alloys of such group, saving their basic advantages (in particular, high technological efficiency and corrosion resistance).
The article by A. M. Drits and V. V. Ovchinnikov tells about the results of research of structure and properties of jump joints of sheets of aluminium alloy 1565ch M (1565ч М) with alloys AMg5 (АМг5), AMg6 (АМг6), AB (6061) and 7021, obtained by argon-arc welding. The level of mechanic properties of such joints was defined along with the areas of their destruction, depending on the combination of welded alloys.
