The articles, published in this issue, share the subject area on heavy non-ferrous metals, rare metals, nanostructured and composite materials. This issue shares the problems of theory and practice of production and processing of non-ferrous metals, complex use of crude ore, economics and management of production.
The section «To the 100-th anniversary of Academician Viktor V. Kafarov» includes the articles by specialists from the D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. Results of new researches, shown in these articles, make a great contribution in sustainable development of cybernetic methods of chemical-technological processes. Metallurgy in scientific researches is traditionally considered as high-temperature chemistry. According to this, the offered articles about computer simulation, optimization and automation of chemical-technological processes, will be undoubtedly interesting for scientists and engineering-technical workers.
