The first issue of the anniversary year of ourperiodical includes papers in many regularsections – from ore preparation to final tailings processing.

The problems of ore preparation are considered both in the section under the same title (the paper by L. A. Vaisberg, et al. presents the screening process theoretical model, explaining the differences in screening process efficiency with respect to machines with different types of vibrations), and in the section “Theory of processes” (in the paper by V. P. Malyshev, et al., the authors further develop the probabilistic theory of material grinding in ball mills), as well as in the section “Operational experience” (the paper by V. А. Kalashnikov, et al., describing the ball drum mills liner systems, developed by “VALSA GTV” company).

The studies P. K. Fedotov, et al., are dedicated tothe Dzhidinskytungsten-and-molybdenummining and concentration complex aged dump tailings processing flow sheet development. The developed technology for aged dumped tailings processing is also recommended for application with respect to dumped tailings at the TSFs of the Primorsky MCC, the Lermontovsky MCC, the Tyrnyauzsky MCC, the Novoorlovsky MCC, etc. The paper by K. M. Asonchik, et al., proposes a high-efficiency method of tailings slurryclarification through its carbonization at the Lomonosovsky mining and concentration complex TSF.Introduction of the described technology following performance of full-scale testing may solve the problem of the Lomonosovsky MCC return water system.
