Tsvetnye Metally
The 12-th issue of the journal «Tsvetnye Metally» (Non-ferrous metals) (December 2016) shares the traditional items.
The “Heavy non-ferrous metals” item includes the article written by the “Magnezit” group employees. They investigated the factors of wear of zinc Waelz-furnaces lining and showed the results of the works, aimed on its durability increasing. A main attention is paid to the technology of production of chromite-periclase refractories.
The article “Electrochlorinator for dissolution of placer platinum” (item “Noble metals and their alloys”) studies the influence of main parameters on electrochlorinator operation, intended for raw material processing, containing the platinum group metals. Such industrial electrochlorinator should be used for dissolution of other types of raw materials, containing noble metals (for example, gold placer and automotive catalyst processing products).
The item “Rare metals, semiconductors” includes two articles, devoted to the growing of Ca-Zn-Te monocrystals and epitaxial layers Ca-Hg-Te.
The article “Optimization of heat treatment modes of experimental aluminum antifriction alloys” considers the influence of natural ageing and thermal treatment on hardness and impact elasticity of eight experimental antifriction alloys Al – Sn – Pb – Cu – Si – Zn – Mg – Ti.
