In February, Chief Editor of our Publishing House, Professor A. G. Vorobiev, celebrated his 60th anniversary. In his opening article, he wished the authors and readers of our journal a happy Science Day.
The section “Light Metals, Semiconductors” talks about interelectrode spacing decrease: it’s a rather important way of developing an electrolytic technology of suspensions with vertical electrodes.
The section “Rare Metals, Semiconductors” includes an overview of strontium carbonate.
The section “Metal Processing” shows the influence of conditions of cooling large industrial forgings, made from the heat-resistant titanium alloy VT41, on phase composition and mechanical properties.
The issue introduces a series of articles, written in honour of the 300th anniversary of Peter the Great’s decree on mintage. The first article is about Russian rouble and the “silver standard” of Peter the Great.
