In the May issue, the article and the "Enrichment" section presenting the result of the joint work of Ural and Bulgarian scientists on the introduction of columnar flotation machines at the modular concentrator of "Rudmetal" AD (Bulgaria) are of interest.
In this section, the article by the authors N. K. Algebraistova, D. A. Golsman et al. is also worth mentioning. The authors dealt with the actual problem, which is related to the processing of stale tailings of gold recovery factories and proposed a gravity-flotation scheme for their enrichment.
The article by Yu. A. Korol and S. S. Naboychenko published in the section of "Heavy nonferrous metals" is the beginning of a series of publications on the use of tuyeres with a protective shell when converting nickel and copper raw materials.
In the section of "Material Science", there is an extensive selection of articles on aluminum alloys. The problems of their alloying with nickel and rare earth metals, the influence of iron impurities, and the methods of casting on the properties of alloys are discussed.
