There are five thematic sections in the issue.

In the section "Ore preparation", on the example of comparative studies of grindability of quartz sand and marble the mechanisms of destruction of mineral raw materials in ball mills are considered - the destruction occurs in the layer under pressure in the spaces between the balls and as a result of the impact in the loading transition zone from the fall trajectories to the trajectory of the ascent (article by P. V. Malyarov et al.); the technique of physical modeling of the crushing process in a screw-toothed crusher is proposed, which allows using the results obtained in the course of research without scaling during further design (article by A. I. Stepanenko, S. M. Malkov); the efficiency of preliminary concentration of polymetallic ores by X-ray radiometric separation depending on the fractionation of the material by the size is estimated (article by E. F. Tsypin et al.).

The technology developers proposed a combined scheme for obtaining the conditioned garnet concentrate from the coastal placers of the White Sea, including the operations of gravitational, magnetic, corona-electrostatic and triboelectrostatic beneficiation (article by A. M. Dumov); recommended schemes for secondary and primary beneficiation of gateway concentrates, which allow reducing losses of gold with tailings of fine-tuning (article by A.V. Zashikhin et al.).

In the section "Technological Mineralogy" the possibilities of the X-ray computer microtomography method for determining the porosity characteristics of the main rock-forming minerals of microcline-plagioclase granite affecting the character of its destruction during disintegration are demonstrated (article by L. A. Vaisberg et al.); based on the analysis of methods for preliminary assessment of qualitative characteristics of minerals, zoning of technological types of titanomagnetite ores of the Northern quarry of the Gusevogorskoye deposit was performed (article by V. D. Kantemirov et al.).
