Obogashchenie Rud
The topics of the articles of the fifth (2018) issue of the journal allowed combining them into five sections that are traditional for publication.
Articles in the «Ore Preparation» section address following issues: the possible use of the inertial cone crusher technology for the improvement of ore-crushing processes at the concentrators; changes in the specific energy consumption for the destruction of carbonate rocks under the action of cyclic freezing and thawing; use of fine wet screening at concentrating plants of non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy.
Articles in the «Beneficiation Technology» section cover the problems: intensification of beneficiation of ores containing layered silicates due to thermal and hydrothermal modification of the latter; creation of high-quality process fuel from brown coal using medium-temperature pyrolysis technology for the production of alumina. The section also presents a new technology for the formation of the Tyrnyauz Deposit ores quality in order to optimize the conditions for their processing.
In the articles of the section «Beneficiation Processes» the methodological approach to solving the problem of variability of flotation technological indicators is analyzed; options for the constructive use of triboelectrification in electrostatic separators are considered.
Sections «Technological Mineralogy» and «Secondary Raw Material Processing» are presented with materials covering: experience of technological mapping on the Eastern Hizovaara structure (Republic of Karelia); the existing processes for processing electronic and electrical products with the extraction of non-ferrous (including precious) metals and the possibility of improving traditional technologies.
The issue ends with the column «Congresses, conferences & symposia» where the review and analytical article by the chief editor of the journal V. A. Arsentev, devoted to the XXIX International Mineral Processing Congress (IMPC — 2018), which took place in September this year in Moscow, is published.
