The Chernye Metally journal No. 8-2021 was published.
The issue is headed by the article written by NUST MISiS authors, dedicated to modernization of the process of transporting the finished mortar to the site for the service of ladles in the JSC Ural Steel blast furnace shop.
In the Steel production section, the existing methods of deoxidation and alloying of steel with aluminum are analyzed and the most promising methods of introduction of aluminum into an iron-carbon melt are proposed.
The Foundry and Metallurgy section presents articles on improving the efficiency of non-stick coatings, the influence of microstructural parameters on improving the toughness of 20 GL steel car castings, the study of metallurgical causes of small-diameter alloy steels wire breakage.
Noteworthy are the articles presented in the Heating and heat treatment section, which tell about the way to improve the thermal operation of heating walking beam furnaces and to study the effect of constant power loads on the strength of the "fitting-shell" joint made of 09G2S grade steel.
S.A. Roginko`s article in the Ecology and recycling section is devoted to the assessment of Russian ferrous metallurgy risks in the case of the introduction of a cross-border corrective carbon tax mechanism.
The traditional annual Yu. L. Adno`s review in the Economy and Finance section analyzes the state and main factors of development of Russian metallurgy in the pandemic, gives a brief assessment of prospects for the world metallurgy development.
This issue also includes publications in the Training and Personnel Policy and Mechanical Engineering Technologies sections.
