Issue No. 8 – 2021 of Tsvetnye Metally features articles from the following sections: Economics and Management of Production, Beneficiation, Heavy Non-Ferrous Metals, Radioactive Elements, Materials Science, Metal Processing.
The opening article of the current issue includes an international review of the non-ferrous metals market (as of July 2021).
The Beneficiation section features articles describing the results of testing of a gravity flotation process used for the treatment of gold mining waste, the application of polyvinyl caprolactam in gold flotation and the effect of various factors during dehydration of difficult-to-filter concentrates.
The article titled Thermochemical treatment of a cladding fuel simulator based on UO2 with an oxidizing mixture NxOy + O2 + CO2 + H2O(steam) examines issues related to the development of spent nuclear fuel treatment techniques.
Featuring seven papers on metals processing and materials engineering, the current issue can also be of interest to experts in the field. Thus, the articles included in the Materials Science section look at AK7 aluminium alloy ingots modified with magnetic fields, the effect of cooling during a friction stir welding process on the structure and properties of 1565chN116 aluminium alloy joints and the effect of silicon on the structure and properties of aluminium alloy AZ5NF.
The Metal Processing section features articles that examine cold rolling of copper and brass bands, the application of transverse flux induction heating for the production of soft L63 brass bands, the optimization of die-cast aluminium ingot quality, as well as the effect of tension levelling on the size of aluminium alloy strips.
