The issue opens with the publication of the «Ore preparation» section, which is devoted to the topical issue of calculating the optimal water consumption for designing the process of washing clay minerals. The topic of the second article of the section — the features of deep-sea mining of ferromanganese nodules and cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts — is no less relevant. It presents the concept of the development of rich solid minerals occurring at the bottom of the World Ocean, using a walking collector, in the executive body of which an impact tool is built for ore preparation.

The section «Beneficiation processes» highlights: studies for the purpose of integral assessment of the activity of mineral components mechanically activated in various ways; the results of studying the possibility of adjusting the reagent regime during selective flotation of sulfide lead-zinc ores of the Akzhal deposit (Kazakhstan).

The process of secondary gold mineralization in artificial technogenic storages of gold recovery factories is discussed in the material of the «Technological mineralogy» section.

The article that opens the section «Secondary raw material processing» focuses on the need for greater involvement in the processing of materials from man-made deposits, recycling. This puts companies in front of the need to adapt production to new, previously uncharacteristic types of raw materials, taking into account optimal, environmentally sound solutions. The following material of the section presents the results of studies of the material composition of Inta coals, which indicate the expediency of their use in medium and small enterprises, in households. The section ends with a publication on research into the possibility of obtaining high-quality ilmenite concentrate from the titanomagnetite ore of the Gusevogorsk deposit.

In the final section of the issue «Environment Protection Technology», we are again talking about clay minerals, but in the tailings of ore and coal beneficiation, which create serious problems during their storage and disposal. It is shown that thermochemical treatment makes it possible to minimize the negative impact of tailings and landfill effluents on the environment during the processing of various types of mineral raw materials.
