The first article of the issue presents the results of experiments on the beneficiation of quartz of various genetic types, considered as potential sources of high-purity quartz raw materials.
The article, which opens the section «Beneficiation processes», presents research data aimed at developing a fundamentally new approach in the field of gravitational beneficiation methods — hydroclassification in relatively still water. The section continues with a publication on optimizing flows in the cell of countercurrent flotation machine by adjusting its height and the depth of the feed entry point.
In continuation of the article in No. 3 of the journal for 2021, the material on the study of high-temperature processes in the quartz-leucoxene concentrate – iron-containing additive system is presented. It explores the possibility of using large-tonnage waste from metallurgical production — scale from heat treatment and forging of parts — as an additive.
In the publication of the environmental section, it is proposed to coagulate of finely dispersed suspended solids, colloidal particles and insoluble heavy metals in acoustic fields not only in horizontal settling tanks, but also directly in the water sumps of open pits and mines.
The section « Secondary raw material processing» opens with a material that presents a study aimed at creating a new type of technogenic placer deposits with high gold grade zones. The section continues an article by Uzbek authors on the topical issue of disposal of coal beneficiation waste, as a result of which humic acids and bacterial-humic fertilizers are produced using waste-free technology. It is completed by a publication on mechanical grinding of metal waste in gaseous media, which is an alternative processing method to briquetting.
The final material of the issue is devoted to the study of the resistance of various materials to hydroabrasive wear in a corrosive-abrasive environment.
