The section “Processing Technology” of this issue offers, in particular, the chemical-metallurgical flow sheet for titanium-magnetite slags treatment with a view to produce rutile concentrate with a high titanium dioxide content. Realization of this technology will permit to consider titanium-magnetite ores as a large source of titanium production.
The article in the section “Beneficiation processes” presents the results of the studies on silicate bacteria application in ore-dressing and hydrometallurgical technologies.
The section “Technological Mineralogy” presents a new hypothesis on possible cobalt entry, as covalent crystal Co (IX), together with main phase Fe0.9Ni0.1, into theEarth’s inner core central part. The journal congratulates the author V.V. Zuev upon the 75th anniversary and successful continuation of active scientific work.
The authors of the article in the section “Equipment” try to attract attention to the advantages of circular revolving table concentrators. A new design of circular rotating table concentrator permitting to increase separation efficiency and recovery of fine dense mineralsis proposed.
Regulation of copper minerals and pyrite selective separation in lime medium based on pulpelectrochemical potential control, being an aspect of the combined approach to flotation process control, developed by Outotec company, is demonstrated by means of practical examples in the section dedicated to automatic regulation.
