The main mining object on Kovdor Ore Dressing and Processing Enterprise is the open pit of rock baddeleyte-apatite-magnetite ores. Nowadays, the depth of this open pit has reached 400 m on the closed boundary. Taking into account the upland part, the open pit depth has reached more than 500 m. The project depth of open pit is more than 800 m. At the end of 1990-s, the enterprise started the large-scale development of the technogenic deposit of the old wastes of concentrating production. The wastes` deposit is presented by the close and strongly water bearing sands. The deposit of apatite and shtaffelite ores, formed by rock, half rock and loose clay rocks, is going to be developed in near future. This deposit has small sizes and complex morphology.
The article presents the system modernization renovation of drilling, taking out-loading, motortransport and road building equipment. This renovation consists of the widening of the equipment dimension types, for the optimization of the technological processes of open cast mining.
The long-term development strategy of the enterprise provided the further system modernization renovation of technical and technological complex of mining production, on the basis of the best global achievements in and around this area, and the choice of the methods, which are the most close to the projects and practice of mining operations.
