Influence of major technological factors on width reduction of the stripes in the process of cold rolling are considered and the results of research of infl uence of technological factors as well as infl uence of the status of work rolls on formation of light strips (roll imprints) on the lower work roll in the 1st stand of cold rolling mill. Proposed actions for elimination of the abovementioned shortcomings in the technology of production of cold-rolled metal are presented.
