Abstract

The authors studied volumetric throughput capacity of a vibrating cone crusher with three-dimensional linear-helical vibrations of crushing members in the lower section of the crushing chamber. A thorough consideration was given to material propagation per a single cycle of working members vibrations. Corresponding dimensionless equations for material movement have been derived. Regression coefficients have been determined by means of the least squares method. Mathematical simulation results for different crusher operation modes are plotted. The correlations for material displacement per a single cycle of working members obtained in the investigation provided possibility for estimation of volumetric throughput capacity in relation to the lower section of the crushing chamber of a vibrating cone crusher with spatial motions of crushing members. The estimated throughput data proved to be in good agreement with experimental test data (the error being within 5–10 %) which confirms the validity of the mathematical model proposed.
