Abstract |
A large amount of wastes (tails with large content of copper, nickel, cobalt and platinum group metals) was accumulated by Norilsk Concentration Plant. At the same time, 1 t of copper and nickel amount corresponds to 600 g of amount of platinum, palladium and rhodium. A part of rhodium, ruthenium and iridium in amount of platinum metals is considerably higher, than the same part in initial ore. According to this, wastes can be considered as valuable raw materials for obtaining of non-ferrous and noble metals. There are offered the technologies of extraction of valuable components from tails by magnetic separation and hydrometallurgical scheme of processing of matte for obtaining of copper, nickel and platinum metal concentrates. This article shows the technological possibility of extraction of amount of platinum metals and gold (up to 50%), and Ni and Cu (30–35%) from old tails of concentration of Norilsk Concentration Plant into magnetic concentrate with its extraction of 7–15%. There is shown the technological possibility of processing of magnetic concentrate on matte with increasing of content of platinum and non-ferrous metals by 10–15 times with high grade of extraction with rather high ratio of Σ(Pt, Pd, Rh)/Σ(Ni, Cu), which are more than 1300 g/t. Realization of technology of extraction of magnetic concentrate from old tailings of Norilsk Concentration Plant and their processing by non-ferrous and platinum metals is economically reasonable. |
