Abstract |
At present the open pit iron ore mines located in the area of the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly (KMA) lose considerable amount of chalk in dumps (over 16 million tonnes annually). The task arises: to use the accumulated chalk in solving problems of soil reclamation local agriculture. The highest efficient improver is recognized the chalk suspension manufactured on practically tested mobile plants. The use of the chalk overburden of KMA will be to advantage of both mines and, especially, agriculture as it enhances cropping capacity and improves the quality of agriproducts.
