Abstract

The research was performed on low-sulfide ore, containing gold and silver. The ore material composition was studied by means of high-resolution microscope AXcioscop 40-A Pol (Zeiss, Germany) and scanning electronic microscope Hitachi TM 1000 (Japan). Processing experiments were performed on centrifugal apparatuses Falcon, Itomac, Kelsey, as well as concentrating tables SKO and Gemeni. The prospects for this type of ore processing by the gravity method were shown. A processing flow sheet with application of centrifugal jigging machine Kelsey, centrifugal separator Itomac and concentrating table Gemeni is proposed. The flow sheet permits to produce: «primary gold concentrate» with gold grade of 1.54 %, and that of silver — 2.91 %, and a gravity concentrate, with gold content of 162.89 g/t, and that of silver 550.39 g/t. Total recovery of gold and silver into heavy fractions of gravity apparatuses amounts to 95.8 and 71.2 %, respectively. Metals loss distribution analysis showed that all losses are concentrated in –0.044+0 mm size fraction. Mineralogical analysis revealed the connection of metals losses with sulfide minerals, forming microscopic attachment to quartz.
