Реферат | Taimyrsky Mine is a subdivision of the Polar Division of Norilsk Nickel; it implements high-grade copper–nickel ore production in the center of the Oktyabrsky deposit. Taimyrsky Mine lease encompasses four ore bodies. Geological section of the Mine field shows a variety of formations, starting from maritime and finishing with continental deposits. The Mine is situated in the zone of permafrost 200–250 m thick in the highlands and 40 m thick in the flat country. The access to ore is gained through vertical shafts and, then, by means of haulage levels –1050, –1100 and –1300 m, ventilation-and-backfill levels –950, –1000, –1200 and –1250 m and transportation level –1400 m. Construction of ventilation shaft no. 1 is being completed. In 2013 modernization project phase I involved the skip hoist: the south line of ore drawing in skip hoist no. 3 (SH-3) was completely re-equipped. Within the re-equipment period, ore production made 3.4 Mt. Since the Mine commissioning, over 440 km of various purpose mine workings have been driven, 20 Mm3 of rocks have been blasted, more than 77 Mt of high-grade ore have been produced and over 20 Mm3 of backfill have been placed in mined-out voids; more than 160 km of mine workings operate permanently. In line with the approved Development Strategy, it is scheduled to raise annual high-grade ore output to 3.9 Mt by 2021, with the concurrent reduction of mine personnel and cutting of ore cost owing to enhanced efficiency, modernization and improvement of management systems. By 2024 it is planned to launch production of impregnated ore reserves that will ensure sustainable operation of the Mine for about 100 years. |
