Реферат

Russia’s coal mining industry features, on the one hand, huge coal reserves (3.8 trillion tons) and longterm prosperity (470 years) but, on the other hand, low grade of coal, which greatly narrows the coal application range. At the same time, thanks to material constitution (components), such coal is usable as a technological raw material to be processed and produce products of various physical state and purpose. The world market imposes high standards on coal quality. In the structure of in-place coal of A, B and C categories, commercial reserves beyond the world standards make round 30%. The article emphasizes that it is most important for innovative development of the coal mining industry to impose more stringent requirements on coal preparation technologies and final products. An algorithm is proposed for stimulating innovative development in the industry based on sound utilization of coal. Introduction of new technologies in conversion of coal to high quality products and in coal mining waste utilization has positive effect on reduction in environmental pollution. The article gives a review of such technologies as dressing, gasification and thermal briquetting, and identifies the key trends in coal-bearing waste utilization.
