Abstract

The article tells the initiation and growth of an institution of intergated mine planning — Uralgiproruda Institute — and its contribution to mining in Russia for 85 years. The unique mines and mining infrastructure constructed under Uralgiproruda projects include: open pit mines of EVRAZ Kachkanar Mining and Processing Integrated Works, tower-type derricks at Novo-Kalinskaya and Cheremukhovskaya-Glubokaya mines of Sevuralboksitruda and Udachny mine of ALROSA; underground infrastructure of Udachny, Internatsionalny mines of the Sakha Republic and Safyanov copper company; open pit asbestos mine of Orenburg Minerals company. The article informs on modern computer-aided design technologies using GEMCOM SURPAK 6.0, Auto-desk Inventor 2012, Autodesk MEP 2012 and Autodesk Civil 2012. Uralgiproruda Institute has been entered on the register of Russian businesses with reliable financial and economic position for certifi ed partnership in Russia and abroad. The Institute undertakes measures aimed at extending the sphere of influence and the geography of mine planning and mineral diversifi cation. As a result of participation in tenders and competitions, the Institute has been granted an opportunity to implement conventional infrastructure planning and design for ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy and for other branches of industry.
