Abstract | Silver solder PSr 15 (ПСр 15) is an alloy, related to the system Cu – Ag – P and, having increased elasticity as compared with phosphorus copper (Cu – P), is though hardly-deformed in cold condition. Therefore wire PSr15 is manufactured by liquid extrusion or hot-pressing. For the purpose of saving in material at soldering, it is reasonable to use the solder wire of small diameters, but availability of embrittlement particles escape does not allow to obtain wire PSr 15 with diameter smaller than 1.5 mm by existing methods. This paper presents research results and description of technology developed on the basis of these results for manufacturing of silver solder wire PSr 15 with diameter smaller than 1.5 mm from hot-pressed workpiece using cold drawing and heat treatment. The phase composition of silver solder PSr15 in molded condition is defined: solid solution on the basis of α(Cu) and two eutectics α(Cu) + α(Ag) and α(Cu) + Cu3P. Solder morphology changing is studied after hot-pressing followed by cold drawing and heat treatment. Hot-pressing with big one-time relative rate of deformation causes the size reduction of solid solution grains and embrittlement particles escape. It is proved, that hot-pressed solder wire workpiece PSr 15 has a set of required properties and can be used as raw material for further cold drawing. Optimal conditions for following cold drawing are small one-time rates of deformation, as well as intermediate recrystallization annealings at temperature 480 оC, resulting in increase of alloy plastic properties. Results of microstructure research are confirmed by test data of wire PSr 15 at static uniaxial tension. Developed technology allows to obtain PSr 15 wire with diameters 1.5–0.7 mm. |
