Abstract |
Flotation classification process intensification is accomplished with a view to increase flotation and hydraulic classification efficiency, as well as to improve process automation. The results of the flotation classifier aerating regime optimization studies are presented. Pulp aeration efficiency in flotation classifier by electrolysis gases is shown, air dispersers of new designs are proposed. Efficient secondary concentration of minerals in froth is provided by means of froth product concentration in tapered chutes of flotation classifiers. The examples of application of flotation classifiers with tapered chutes for treatment of hematite ore processing tailings and Zhezkazgan concentrating plant tailings are presented. In order to increase hydraulic classification efficiency, starting material feed through tangential inlet in flotation classifier is provided. Flotation classification sands discharge optimization is accomplished. An automation system providing for discharge of sands fraction with specified solids content from bed layer formed on flotation classifier’s bottom was developed. |
