Abstract

The analyses of the world energy crises show that their principal cause is the excessive energy consumption in the global economy. As a component of the global energy systems, the source of which is the Sun, the world economy must subject to the physical laws of nature. This article offers an empirical proof for the existence of the laws of energy conservation and least action in the global economy. The laws are mathematically presented as the linear relation between the optimal gross domestic product of the world economy, time and population of the Earth. Income per capita remains a constant value for the optimal global economy despite the deep infl uence of the subjective factor in an economic system. The presented proof of the operation of physical laws and, specifically, the fundamental mass and energy conservation law opens new horizons for the investigation of the global economic development. The difference from the market model that is currently in force in the world is the economic advancement in pursuance of the energy conservation law with avoidance of the initiation and growth of global crises. The rate of growth of the gross domestic product in accordance with the law formulated in the article means that the economy is well-balanced, crisis-free and optimal.
