Abstract | Geomechanical support and monitoring of mining operations is one of the key elements in the chain of an integrated process of mine performance starting from the mine planning and design, to construction, operation and up to closure. The Starobin deposit rock mass features specific geomechanical behavior, different from geomechanical processes at potash deposits in other countries. For this reason, safe and efficient mining requires excessive experimental, laboratory and theoretical research aimed to detect characteristic patterns in geomechanical behavior and to develop specific original geomechanical models for the Starobin deposit. This article describes a modern approach to the arrangement of geomechanical support and monitoring in underground mining. In terms of Belaruskali, the algorithm of a corporate automated platform for integrated regional geomechanical monitoring is examined. The complex geomechanical models are constructed for prediction of geomechanical and related processes in various mining areas at the Starobin potash salt deposit. |
