Abstract | The article describes the research aimed to find comparative qualitative and quantitative characteristics of two-stage distribution system parameters for hydraulic hammers. An emphasis is laid on assessment of influence exerted by these parameters on hydraulic loss which the power source flow rate in the power stroke by 5–10 times. The research with a view to substantiating parameters of the distributor component which is the most problematic to be designed is undertaken. The subject of the research and experiment is a hydraulic hammer model MGP-18 designed for operation in mining and construction. In the structural layout of the hammer, the valve elements of the first stage are arranged at the independent back stage of the piston. The comparative characteristics of elements are investigated by the machine method using program Research. The results show that the value of the hydraulic efficiency is extremely affected by the parameters of an accumulator, whereas the distributor and the connecting ports of the gyro unit exert lower and very weak, respectively. The distributor parameters are substantiated using program Zolotnik (means “valve” in Russian). This program allows quantification of all required geometrical parameters and makes it possible to analyze their influence on slit leakages in the cylindrical connection of the valve and sleeve, pressure loss ΔP ad the switching mechanism parameters. The results of the investigations enable recommending rational design parameters of the two-stage distribution system for hydraulic hammer model MGK-18. |
