Abstract |
The mining industry of the Republic of Armenia makes a significant contribution to the country’s economy, is developing at a rapid pace and provides a 33% share of the raw material sector in the industry. In order to increase efficiency and productivity of mining and processing companies in the Republic of Armenia, it is necessary to improve reliability and operational efficiency of the technical fleet of mining machines, in particular, bulldozers, excavators and bucket loaders. It should be noted that the significant laboriousness of the maintenance and repair of these machines imposes special requirements for enhancing the reliability and performance of systems, components and assemblies of mining machines, in particular, the engine and transmission. In order to determine the distribution indicators of failures and operational reliability, 34 mining machines of various brands and with different operating resources were studied. On the basis of the primary information on operation of the engine and transmission units, the main reliability indicators for each of the elements of each type of machines were processed and obtained. The statistical distribution indicators of failures are calculated for bulldozer drive bridges. The operational reliability indicators of machine elements operating in open pit mining conditions of the Sotk deposit are calculated, with their division by type, brand and constituent elements. The calculation of the optimal maintenance intervals was carried out based on the permissible level of reliability. From the evidence of the calculated indicators of operational reliability and maintenance of machines operating in the Sotk quarry, we can conclude that it is advisable to use the calculated values of the maintenance frequency of the main components, as this can provide a significant economic effect from reducing the unit costs for maintenance of mining and quarrying machines operated in the Republic of Armenia, without reducing their reliability indicators. |
