Abstract |
Currently, the problem of waste disposal continues to be relevant. This is of interest both for the enterprises where they are formed, and for those who are looking for inexpensive and affordable materials for the implementation of foundry and metallurgical processes in their production conditions. The article provides information on the experience of developing technological solutions for the use of industrial waste in foundry and metallurgical technologies, as well as on the results achieved during their industrial testing in the conditions of existing production facilities. In particular, the use of: 1) slag formed during the remelting of secondary aluminum alloys (aluminum slag) as a filler of non-stick coatings of foundries and rods for steel and cast iron casting, as well as additives for producing steel in the main melting furnace; 2) sludge of quenching tanks (source of iron oxides, oxidizer), sludge of saltpeter baths (additive for accelerating ignition of the mixture) in compositions of exothermic mixtures for steel and cast iron casting; 3) sludge of salt quenching baths as slag-forming slag-forming slag and modifier for ladle treatment of gray and high-strength cast iron. The compositions of the considered waste are given, as well as their compliance with the federal classification catalog as of 2023. The data obtained in the course of research work expand the range of waste used in foundry and metallurgical technologies, lead to a decrease in the cost of casting while maintaining the required quality, and in some cases replace expensive foreign materials today. |
