Since 2010 International Pooling System on Nuclear Insurance has removed the prohibition for reinsurance of Russian nuclear risks in the West. This information was provided by the Russian Nuclear Insurance Pool (RNIP). At the end of 2009 the first international insurance inspections, organized by international pooling system at the request of RNIP, were carried out at Leningradskaya NPP and Balakovo NPP.
