Abstract

Rapid integration processes in the global space form new challenges for the development of mining enterprises. At the same time, new opportunities arise for the progression of the mining and related industries within the framework of the development of the North–South International Transport Corridor. The article discusses current problems and issues of the development of the mining industry. One of the problematic tasks in the industry in the current conditions is the need to modernize production facilities. The solution of the problems of modernization of production facilities is possible within the framework of public–private partnership and the emergence of new opportunities for the North–South International Transport Corridor. The purpose of this article is to conduct a scientific study and analysis of the existing problems in the mining industry, as well as to search for new technical and technological solutions to ensure economic growth in the mining and related industries. The article is based on a comparison of historical indicators of the mining industry, dialectical methods, methods of analysis, generalization, evaluation, which make it possible to form a rational strategic and managerial decision to ensure economic growth and the revival of technological sovereignty of the mining industry. The results of an overview study of the current economic situation in the mining industry are presented. The result is recommendations for the creation of mining and manufacturing industry clusters with the participation of the state to achieve economic growth and the revival of technological sovereignty. The article presents the practical importance of ensuring the economic growth of the industry and the revival of technological sovereignty is possible only with government support and participation. The introduction of innovative technical and technological solutions will ensure the revival of adjacent clusters. As part of the intensification of the activities of the North–South International Transport Corridor, the strategic and tactical development of mining and manufacturing companies may be reviewed in order to achieve economic growth and revive the technological sovereignty of mining and related industries.
