The development of the electronics industry early in the 20^th century was inseparably linked with radio engineering. However, the rapidly growing quality and technical complexity requirements have led to differentiation in the development and fabrication of radio components. Later on, new devices appeared that could not even formally be referred to radio engineering but required much more components. The aim of this publication is to trace the first movements of Russian electronics in the parent fold of radio engineering.
