The results of laboratory studies and commercial-scale tests on application of hexyl xanthate produced by «Hoechst», as well as its mixes with butyl and isopropyl xanthates in copper sulfide minerals flotation, are presented. Processing and economic effects of hexyl and butyl xanthates mix application with its consumption decrease from 70 to 50 g/t are shown. With that, copper recovery increase was about 0.4 %.
