The article presents the data on slurry pumps operation in MCC hydrotransport system. It is noted, that application of transmission gear to increase pump impeller rate of rotation and pump delivery lead to considerable electric power over-consumption and decreases efficiency of pumping units. It is shown, that optimum operating regimes of hydrotransport system with rated hydromechanical characteristics and slurry pumps high efficiency are provided through application of electric motors torque converters.
