Abstract
Certain aspects of scientific cooperation between the «Mekhanobr» Institute and the St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University in the field of ore processing tailings disposal at mining operations have been considered. Most significant results of mutual work are marked and trends in research work are set with the view to improve hydraulic-engineering structures in the mining industry.
