In 2021 Malaysia is planning to launch its first NPP. In May 2010 Dato' Sri Peter Chin Fah Kui, the Minister of Energy, green technologies and water resources of Malaysia officially confirmed that his office had secured the support of the country’s Economic Council for the building of an NPP.
